This morning we returned to Homestead Brewery at Mandoon Estate in the Swan Valley for a quick breakfast. We’ve been a couple of times before, the food has always been good and it’s a really nice place to sit and eat – there aren’t many places in Perth you can enjoy breakfast with a view like this without heading to Margaret River. It’s also family friendly.
I normally order the pancakes with bacon & maple syrup, but this time tried the baked eggs with chorizo, which I expected to be spicy but wasn’t. I also needed a spoon to eat it once I ran out of toast!
Renay chose the full breakfast, which was really good, high quality bacon and very tasty hash browns, which aren’t mentioned on the menu and were the best thing on plate.
You can see the full breakfast menu here – it’s fairly short and has been the same since they opened, maybe it’s time for a refresh…
The big disappointment today was the coffee, which has been great every other time we’ve been but was horrible today, unfortunately. Hopefully that was just a one-off.
If you haven’t been to Homestead Brewery, it’s well worth a visit.
