The Good Grocer, Testun and Threecoins Come Together in Mt Lawley

Sunday 5 July from 12pm to 3pm will see The Good Grocer team up with Testun and Threecoins & Sons to serve up 300 free piadina – an Italian flatbread sandwich – at their 2nd Ave store.

Chris Caravella and Frank Trequattrini from Testun and Threecoins & Sons will venture across the road to The Good Grocer 2nd Ave to feed the masses with 300 free piadina using The Good Grocerโ€™s tortillas made fresh in-store, filled with standout local produce and artisan products.

Each piadina will reflect the personality of the restaurant behind it. Frank, who youโ€™ll usually find at Threecoins & Sons, will take the reins with a lighter, fresh produce-led piadina whilst Chris will bring Testunโ€™s more boisterous, fun style to his.

Frankโ€™s Piadina: El Arquero-pickled zucchini, La Delizia Lattacini stracciatella & pistachio pesto
Chrisโ€™ Piadina: Flame-grilled Barbaro Mortadella, tomatillo, pineapple & gherkin salsa, chilli mayo, provolone & pickle chippies

Once the 300 piadinas are gone, theyโ€™re gone – so locals will want to get in early. The event is free to attend, with food available while stocks last.

โ€œWeโ€™re super excited to leave the restaurants for an afternoon to share what we do with the people of Mt Lawleyโ€ says Chris Caravella, speaking on behalf of the Testun and Threecoins & Sonsโ€™ team.

โ€œFeeding the community has always been the most important pillar of what we do, at both Threecoins and Testun. While we want everyone to walk out feeling satisfied with the food, its not just about filling their bellies – we want every person that walks through our doors to feel like they have a space that’s free of judgement where they can forget about their worries for a little while, and have meaningful connection with us!โ€

The Good Grocer Group Marketing Manager, Emma Ridley, said the event was about creating something generous, local and enjoyable for the community.

โ€œThis is what the In Good Company series is all about. Itโ€™s working with good people, showcasing good produce, and creating a moment where the community can come down, taste something amazing and enjoy a free day out.โ€

Alongside the piadinas, the store and cellar will come alive with free-flowing tastings and a lineup of local makers and producers. Guests can expect gin tastings with Chris Masten from Beyond Distilling, local wines, raclette cheese, Geisha coffee cart, El Arquero tequila tastings and more product moments throughout the store.

The event is part of The Good Grocerโ€™s evolving In Good Company platform, designed to connect customers with chefs, makers, producers and experts through meaningful local collaborations.

โ€œPeople love discovering something new when they shop, especially when they can taste it, meet the people behind it and see how simple, quality ingredients can become something really special,โ€ Ridley said.

โ€œThatโ€™s the role we want The Good Grocer to play. The Good Shop people choose because they know thereโ€™s always something worth discovering.โ€
