Taste of Perth is over for another year, and for me this was the best one yet. I attended both Friday and Saturday afternoon sessions, and enjoyed some fantastic food (plus had fun in the Lurpak Pantry with MasterChef’s Jessica Arnott…) The weather wasn’t great to start with on Friday, but thankfully the sun came out on Friday afternoon and we didn’t have a repeat of last year.
Picking a favourite dish was difficult, particularly when it comes to dessert – it’s a dead heat between Asado’s lime parfait, Bistro Guillaume’s passionfruit brulee, The Shorehouse’s chocolate fondant and Bib & Tucker’s milk & honey.
Manuka Woodfire Kitchen won “Best of Taste” with their wood roasted chicken with pickled cabbage & miso sauce, and deservedly so. I also loved the braised beef shin Massaman curry from Luck Chan’s and the teriyaki beef short rib from Print Hall…but there was plenty more than that to choose from.
See some of my photos from the weekend below. I’m already looking forward to next year!
