Morsels & The Shelf Life

Review: KFC Zinger Banh Mi

It’s time to get back to business, especially with so many new products available for Christmas. But first, I should catch up with the latest offering from KFC – the Zinger Banh Mi.

Supposedly featuring a “flavour packed blend of Vietnamese and KFC flavours”, the banh mi consists of Zinger fillet, fresh cucumber & carrot Vietnamese style slaw, banh mi mayo & supercharged sauce on a crunchy roll.

Coming from a part of the world where banh mi is a common lunch option, this really didn’t remind me of one at all – it needs pickled veg and coriander for starters. What it is, however, is a decent spicy Zinger & slaw roll with the supercharged sauce adding a kick. Size-wise it’s reasonable, not a disappointment like the Zinger kebab.

Would happily eat again, but there’s no denying what this isn’t.
