News: The Perth Royal Show Returns For 2025

The Royal Agricultural Society of WA (RASWA) today launched the 2025 Perth Royal Show, returning to Claremont Showground from 27 September to 4 October 2025.

Now in its 189th year, the Show continues a legacy dating back to 1834 of bringing together generations of Western Australians for a celebration of agriculture, food, education, entertainment and community spirit.

Following record-breaking crowds in 2024, including two sold-out days, the 2025 Show promises 12 hours of free entertainment every day and fresh ticketing options.

Whether you’re watching elite showjumping, seeing the sheep dog trials in action, discovering the best of Western Australia’s quality produce, cuddling baby animals, or enjoying the Show’s spectacular fireworks and drone display – there’s no shortage of unforgettable moments.

With over 4,000 animals, 8,000 competition entrants, and 150 community groups taking part, the Perth Royal Show is where the best of Western Australia shines, spotlighting the State’s rich agricultural heritage while celebrating innovation and a bright future.

Exciting new additions this year include:

  • For the first time in Perth, the Flying Fools from Montreal will wow audiences with their breathtaking high-diving stunts, performing shows both during the day and in the evening.
  • The popular Animal Nursery reimagined with more opportunities for farmyard cuddles, animal feeding, pig washing, and an exciting new farmyard photo booth.
  • The Global Stage launches with a rich program of music and dance from multicultural and community groups.
  • Late Night Woody’s, a barrel-of-fun late night stage with a playful lineup including Drag Bingo, Ceilidh (Celtic Bush Dance), Claudia Tripp’s Country Cowball and PowerPoint Dating hosted by NextGen Young Farmers.
  • Brand new precincts such as Grazeland, featuring global cuisine, live cooking demos and educational shows on the Grazeland Stage.
  • Smart Farms, Australia’s newest agricultural technology exhibition, featuring high-tech activities for kids where they can design the future of WA food and farming.
  • Cattle Corner, a hands-on livestock exhibit, where you can meet and pat cows and calves.
  • Making an Australian debut, a 24-metre high extreme ride for the thrill seekers – the Lunarix.
  • A refreshed Yellow Brick Road, offering a two-hour adventure trail blending fun, food and learning for just $15 with keepsake backpack and collectables.

Favourites such as Motocross, Sideshow Alley and the Dairy Pavilion are back, plus the Woodchop Arena will host its biggest competition yet, with a record-breaking $80,000 prize pool and the debut of an axe-throwing contest.

Also unveiling a world-first fireworks that will transform the Claremont Showground sky into a breathtaking 360-degree immersive ‘sky theatre’ culminating in the biggest evening finale the Perth Royal Show has ever seen.

As the State’s largest community event, the Perth Royal Show continues to evolve to offer more value and accessibility to all Western Australians.

Thanks to $2.8 million in funding from the State Government, the 2025 Perth Royal Show delivers half-price tickets for children aged 4-15 years old, students and concession holders, and a contribution to the fireworks and evening entertainment. This investment also includes $600,000 that will go towards supporting agricultural shows throughout regional WA via a new grant program.

Funding from Lotterywest through a $950,000 grant will enhance access to the Show supporting inclusive ticketing, early entry for priority groups, community engagement, sensory-friendly spaces, and volunteer programs.
