Here are some photos from my recent visit to Subiaco modern-Asian restaurant Shui. It’s a sophisticated and elegant venue, suitable for date-night, business and group events. The menu is designed to be shared.

This time around, four of us were treated to the Shui Banquet, a feed-me style menu costing $86 per person (excluding drinks, but including dessert). The banquet changes daily and can be adjusted to your preferences and dietary requirements.

Dishes pictured below:
- cured kingfish spring rolls, avocado, lime, coconut, chilli
- Szechuan spiced duck san choi bao
- beef tataki, radish, white soy, smoked chilli, puffed rice pearls
- chicken and ginger dumplings
- tempura broccoli, Szechuan-chilli caramel
- Massaman roasted cauliflower, chilli peanuts
- Malay hokkien mee, crispy eggplant, garlic stem
- crispy chicken, black garlic vinegar, cucumber
- wood roasted pork belly
- dessert platter (choc fudge brownie, honey parfait, Thai milk tea panna cotta)

Food highlights differed around the table, although the cauliflower and hokkien mee were common favourites.
Open seven days for lunch and dinner, Shui has a well-stocked bar with plenty of cocktails, bubbles, wine, beer and spirits to choose from.
