I’m not a huge fan of the McFlurry, partly because having sensitive teeth makes eating lots of ice cream somewhat tedious, but also because the varieties available in Australia are a little dull – nothing new there. The “Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry” – introduced in Canada in 1997 – would be very hard to resist, and is still available around Easter in Canada, Britain and Ireland. “Have another Goo”. Love it.
The “Durian Crunch McFlurry” is a limited edition offering from McDonald’s Singapore, and features durian syrup and some crunchy cereal. If you’re not familiar with durian, it’sย a large, porcupine-looking fruit whose smell has been described as being like rotten onions, turpentine and raw sewage, according to Wikipedia.
Here’s another UK variety that I’d find hard to pass up. I wonder if they do plain Munchies too?
Gingerbread from Sweden?
Getting a little weirder now with Lakritsi (black liquorice) from Finland.
Hmm…Malaysia and Singapore can keep his one. I’m not surprised they had to give them away.
There are dozens of other varieties available around the world, including pistachio from Italy, red bean from China and green tea from Japan – see them at Web Urbanistย and BuzzFeed (via FoodBeast).
