Morsels & The Shelf Life

Good Choice WA, Live @ Lakelands Shopping Centre – Thu 13 March

Good choice, WA LIVE! will take place this Thursday, 13 March, in the Lakelands Shopping Centre to create a fun, food focused atmosphere. Chef Tracey Cotterell from Matters of Taste will be cooking recipes in the kitchen with assistance from Masterchef alum and emcee Alex Crisp.

There will be kids activities including pancake decorating and glitter tattoos. Buy West Eat Best members will be offering food sampling for customers to sample and there will be giveaways and prize opportunities.

I’ll see you there on Thursday!

Buy West Eat Best

BUY WEST EAT BEST

The distinctive bitemark logo of Buy West Eat Best enables Western Australian shoppers to clearly identify food and drink products which have been grown, farmed, fished, processed, prepared and served right here in WA. Western Australian businesses that display the Buy West Eat Best logo must meet stringent criteria for local content. The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development oversees logo administration and compliance.

Fresh produce, such as fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood, must be 100 percent grown, fished or farmed in Western Australia. Grocery items, such as sauces, yoghurts, cheese, bread or beverages, must feature main ingredients grown, fished or farmed in Western Australia, and the product must be processed and transformed in Western Australia.

CHEF TALENT – TRACEY COTTERELL

Tracey’s love of food has been part of her life’s story for as long as she can remember. After professionally training she ran the kitchen of her parents’ West Sussex country inn, Tracey went on to manage outside catering teams, curate menus, and run corporate kitchens. Then in 1997 came Matters of Taste in its original form – a cooking school. This project saw Tracey teach over 80,000 people with her engaging style; working first to delight, then to instruct.

Now, with an online teaching platform, occasional cooking classes, procuring for MOT’s local grocery delivery service, and hosting food tours, Tracey still lives, works, and cooks by her seasonal food philosophy.
