Nature meets nurture at Perth’s newest culinary experience The Good Paddock, a refined yet rustic restaurant set on the tenderly toiled soils of pioneering permaculture destination 11 Acre Farm, which I visited when it first opened in July.
Since opening to the public, 11 Acre Farm has become a firm favourite among families and sustainability seekers for its picturesque setting in Forrestdale and spirited sense of community.

Now, the next chapter of the property’s evolution has been unveiled with The Good Paddock – a celebration of farm-grown produce, seasonal rhythms and the joy of eating with intention.
The restaurant is built around a paddock-to-plate ethos, with ingredients either grown directly in the gardens or orchard or sourced locally through partnerships with growers and suppliers who share the same commitment to quality and care for the environment.

Head chef Sufendi “Fendi” Bong has built a menu that is fresh and nostalgic: think a morning harvest bowl packed with fruit or farmhouse omelette with chorizo for breakfast, shared dishes of La Delizia burrata with butternut caponata, beef tataki à la garden or spring crudo for lunch or hearty mains like pork and greens, duck and mash or fisherman’s broth with crusty bread for lunch.
Decadent desserts, a considered wine list and specials informed by the land round out the moreish offering. Later this year, The Good Paddock will host pop up dinners and curated events.
Co-owner Erin Erceg says the farm is at the very heart of The Good Paddock, providing not just vibrant produce grown steps away but also a unique ambience grounded in nature.

“From the very beginning, we knew that food would be the soul of this place,” Erin says. “That’s why we’ve spent years building a permaculture farm, growing chemical-free fruits, vegetables and herbs that make their way from our soil to your plate.”
Erin says every dish has been “created with intention” to honour the seasons, minimise waste and recognise the beauty of regenerative farming.
“From the herbs we smoke into our salt to the flowers and leaves that garnish your plate, each element has its place in the farm’s rhythm,” she says.
“We hope The Good Paddock feels like a reflection of life on the land – humble, generous, and deeply connected. We are proud to be a working example of a truly sustainable business and we bring warm hospitality to the table for all guests who dine with us.”

The Good Paddock occupies a space formerly home to The Cubby Cafe, which will now operate as Cubby Kiosk, a dedicated food truck with family-friendly, fast ready to eat meals, freshly-baked treats and coffees for visitors eager to explore the landscaped grounds and creative play areas.
Joining Fendi on the all-star team are event specialist and venue manager Kelly Pitman and former Millbrook Winery gardener Mitchell Seward, who, together with the 11 Acre Farm owners, share a vision for the restaurant to become a major drawcard on the Perth foodie circuit.
