Double Rainbow is one of my favourite Perth restaurants, so I didn’t hesitate to make a booking when I saw its new “Full Volume” Sunday brunch on the calendar. Alternatives to our seemingly endless line-up of pastries, toasties and Bircher are always welcome.

Head Chef Navarre Top is no stranger to brunch having formerly co-owned Beaufort Street Merchant and Ninth & Merchant, where he also used to bake some of the best sourdough in town.
His aim here is to provide the perfect Sunday-morning recovery, tweaking classic breakfast dishes in Double Rainbow style. Think gochujang poached eggs, slabs of pork belly and Korean fried chicken…

The set brunch includes a selection of shared dishes plus a choice of main course for $45 pp (minimum two guests). Optional drink packages are available, as are vegan and gluten free options.

Dishes pictured below:
- Wok-tossed edamame, salt & vinegar togarashi
- Bulgogi beef onigiri, sesame rice, nori
- Crispy prawn wontons, miso harissa, kewpie, chives
- Kimchi dumplings, pumpkin ssamjang, crunchy chilli vinegar
- Brussels sprouts, miso cauliflower cream, gochujang sauce
- Wild mushrooms on toast, sweet soy & coconut sauce, pecorino, poached egg
- Spring onion pancake, Chinese spinach, poached eggs, hollandaise
- Korean fried chicken waffles, crispy chilli maple
My highlights were the shared dishes, with the onigiri, dumplings and Brussels sprouts my favourites. The flavours will wake you up, the servings are generous, and no-one is going home hungry. Morsels tip: try and secure counter seating for one of Perth’s best dining experiences.

Brunch at Double Rainbow is served on the first Sunday of each month (or thereabouts, holidays and other events permitting).
Keep an eye on DR’s socials and the Rechabite’s events calendar for more info, or click here to make a booking. The next brunch is on Sunday Feb 1.
